As a candidate for Boston City Council At-Large, I believe everyone should have an equal opportunity to secure stable housing. The “Eviction Box” on rental applications, which asks about past evictions, unfairly discriminates against individuals who have worked hard to rebuild their lives. This question doesn’t reflect who they are today and often keeps them trapped in a cycle of housing instability.
As your councilor, I will push for a hearing to explore how we can eliminate this question in Boston. We need to ensure rental applications assess individuals based on their current stability, not past challenges.
Together, we can create a more equitable and inclusive Boston, where everyone has the opportunity to build a better future. No one should be denied housing because of an eviction that occurred years ago. I am committed to making housing more accessible and just for all.
On my first day as City Councilor, I will introduce a hearing to address a critical issue facing our seniors: snow removal for those aged 65 and older, living alone, and on a fixed income.
Every winter, too many elderly Boston residents are left struggling with the dangers of snow and ice—without the means to clear their paths. This puts them at risk of falls, injuries, and isolation. No senior should have to choose between their safety and their independence.
That’s why I will fight for a city-funded snow removal program to ensure that every senior who needs help gets it. Our city must do better to protect those who built our communities and made Boston what it is today.
As your councilor, I will work to make sure no senior in Boston faces winter with fear. Together, let’s build a safer, more compassionate, and stronger city for all.
Boston has long been a city of opportunity, innovation, and resilience. Our public schools should embody these same values—providing every student, in every neighborhood, with the resources, support, and pathways they need to thrive. While significant progress has been made to strengthen Boston Public Schools (BPS), there is still more work to be done to ensure equity, accountability, and excellence across the city.
As your Boston City Councilor At-Large, I am committed to building on this progress while bringing fresh ideas and bold leadership to the conversation. My plan is focused on ensuring that every school is a high-quality school, every student has access to meaningful opportunities, and every community has a voice in shaping the future of education in Boston.
As your Boston City Councilor At-Large, I will advocate for policies that:
